If the architecture on Northstar is similar to what is done on Northstar Plus, port 5 can be either internal or external PHY, port 7 is indeed gmac1, and port 8 is connected to the flow accelerator, which should be in "bypass" mode by default. And you are right, port 8 is connected to flow accelerator. Although, it seems it is not enabled in Linksys factory firmware.
