I had it that way originally. That was triggering warning here: https://intel-gfx-ci.01.org/tree/drm-tip/Patchwork_126507v3/fi-pnv-d510/igt@kms_addfb_basic@addfb25-bad-modifier.html So I choose to move it before the check below in drivers/gpu/drm/i915/display/intel_fb_bo.c. Then add same into drivers/gpu/drm/xe/display/intel_fb_bo.c.
