Lontium LT9611UXE is a HDMI to MIPI CSI-2 bridge,
It supports modes up to 4k60fps, switches current mode when
plugging HDMI or changing the source active signal mode.

Signed-off-by: Dongcheng Yan <dongcheng.yan@intel.com>
---
v1 -> v2: replaced mutex with state_lock
v2 -> v3: fixed some pm_runtime err handlings
v3 -> v4: add dv_timings api

patch has been tested with Intel IPU isp.

According to Documentation/process/changes.rst, the minimum GCC version is
5.1. So you should drop this.

As there is no sub-device state argument to the function, you need to
manually lock the sub-device state here (to serialise access to the timings
field). Same for g_dv_timings and query_dv_timings below.

No need to check pad here, the caller will have done that already.

I'd use dev_err() here as we're not in probe().

There's just a single entry in the array. sizeof() will get the size in
bytes, which is 8! Use 1 here instead.

It'd be nice to get rid of cur_mode altogether. Is there something that
would prevent it?

Hi Sakari, I used CUR_LINK_FREQ before, which refers to your patch:

<URL:https://lore.kernel.org/linux-media/20240426145538.654212-1-sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com/>.

But I am worried about the progress of this patch.

If you have expectations for it, I can modify it to CUR_LINK_FREQ.

Thank you for your inspiration. This is the reason why I did not use

We need to make sure the lanes here are initialized in :

do_div(pixel_rate, lt6911uxe->cur_mode.lanes);

so I will set it in lt6911uxe_fwnode_parse and cur_mode initialized here
is not necessary.

I also agree with other comments and will improve in next patch.

Thanks,

There were a few iterations of the set and this is
where it eventually ended:

<URL:https://lore.kernel.org/linux-media/20241210075906.609490-1-sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com/T/#t>

I intend to include that in a PR soonish.

Hi Sakari,

Since you are planning to PR this patch, I will continue to use
CUR_LINK_FREQ to initialize the link_freq v4l2_ctl.

Besides, I see your patch in intel/ipu6 that obtains the link frequency
from the sub-device instead of a control handler.

Maybe I don't need init link_freq v4l2_ctl anymore?

Thanks,
Dongcheng
