Wysocki" Cc: Len Brown , linux-acpi@vger.kernel.org, linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org, Thomas Renninger Subject: [PATCH] ACPI: Blacklist Win8 OSI for some HP laptop 2013 models Date: Thu, 19 Dec 2013 17:09:12 +0100 Message-Id: <1387469352-23798-1-git-send-email-tiwai@suse.de> X-Mailer: git-send-email 1.8.5 Sender: linux-acpi-owner@vger.kernel.org Precedence: bulk List-ID: X-Mailing-List: linux-acpi@vger.kernel.org X-Spam-Status: No, score=-7.4 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_00, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_HI, RP_MATCHES_RCVD, UNPARSEABLE_RELAY autolearn=unavailable version=3.3.1 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.1 (2010-03-16) on mail.kernel.org X-Virus-Scanned: ClamAV using ClamSMTP The BIOS on recent HP laptops behaves differently with Win8 OSI, e.g. no backlight control and no rfkill are available. List them in the blacklist as a workaround. This patch tries to reduce the added items by matching "G1" suffix, e.g. machines are named like "HP ProBook 430 G1".
