I fixed several issues with current freevxfs and also designed a userspace tool which helps creating dm block devices from e.g. regular file with raw image of hp-ux disk. https://sourceforge.net/projects/linux-vxfs/ I send the patch because I believe that some people would appreciate support for this vintage file system (e.g. me) and also it will be nice to see my name in the kernel.
