Petersen" , Hannes Reinecke , Mike Snitzer , Ewan Milne , Jeff Moyer Subject: [PATCH] block: Always check queue limits for cloned requests Date: Thu, 26 Nov 2015 08:46:57 +0100 Message-Id: <1448524017-130967-1-git-send-email-hare@suse.de> X-Mailer: git-send-email 1.8.5.6 Sender: linux-scsi-owner@vger.kernel.org Precedence: bulk List-ID: X-Mailing-List: linux-scsi@vger.kernel.org X-Spam-Status: No, score=-7.9 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_00, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_HI, RP_MATCHES_RCVD, UNPARSEABLE_RELAY autolearn=unavailable version=3.3.1 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.1 (2010-03-16) on mail.kernel.org X-Virus-Scanned: ClamAV using ClamSMTP When a cloned request is retried on other queues it always needs to be checked against the queue limits of that queue. Otherwise the calculations for nr_phys_segments might be wrong, leading to a crash in scsi_init_sgtable(). To clarify this the patch renames blk_rq_check_limits() to blk_cloned_rq_check_limits() and removes the symbol export, as the new function should only be used for cloned requests and never exported.
