But other architectures that support hotplugging at CPU granularity, use core-id as the local id to indicate the core within the parent topology container instand of the global index. To remove potential ambiguity and make the core abstraction available to other architectures, introduce the ppc core abstraction and define the "global" core-id over the ppc specific core.
