The schematic for my board also declares chip as an imx577 not an imx412. The init sequence in the Qualcomm reference code is nearly the same as here in imx412.c and the upstream Linux 412.c driver works perfectly with the imx577 chip as-is. Even if imx412 works with imx577 init code the driver we have here is looking for chip id 0x577 @ offset 0x0016 which implies this driver is more appropriately named imx577.c not imx412.c.
